i could have read an entire novel about mark, steve, and danielle; i had been so absorbed in the short story that i almost mistook it for one. all stories featured well-developed characters, a sharp satire, and finely detailed divulgences of the shortcomings by the most emotional and, well, creative types.

A very mixed bag of stories ranging from some pretty interesting concepts to stories I found myself desperately powering through and left wondering “what’s the point?”

I normally love short story collections that get me to think. This selection of short stories didn't quite do it for me, however. I didn't find the characters very likable, and they seemed very one dimensional with not much depth, so it was hard to relate to them for that reason.

I received an electronic copy of this book via NetGalley and would like to thank the author and/or publisher for the opportunity to read and honestly review this book.

Hard to rate because it’s incomparable to any other book I’ve read, it’s not one coherent story, it’s multiple short fictional stories. I know that’s not everyone’s cup of tea, but I kinda fucked with it, I enjoyed the fact that every chapter was a completely new beginning to a story with all new characters and new settings, it kept things refreshing. Each story was entirely different and unrelated to one another, and they were each equally raunchy and chaotic. Idk how to describe them really, the writer definitely has a way with words, could say he’s maybe perhaps a creative type…

Thanks to Netgalley for this advanced copy.

Loved the idea behind the book. Multiple short stories with different characters proving the human kind is twisted and complicated by all means.

The writing didn't stand strong and I couldn't feel connected to any of the story hence had to give only three stars.

I didn’t finish this, in fact I read two of the short stories, skimmed maybe another couple and then gave up. I liked the sound of it, even typing out the blurb above I found myself thinking they sound like really interesting stories. But then I remember I don’t really enjoy short stories, I struggle to connect, I need more context, more contact with the characters. If anyone does take it up let me know what you think…
