The story was maybe good. By the end I was just sick of the writing. The editing was horrible. Half the time I had no idea who was talking. It just didn’t flow. I had to put way to much effort into understanding what was going on. Way too wordy. Oh and can we talk about his injury

Wow! This was a great and steamy read! In a clean way.

I didn't seem to connect to the two main characters in this book as much as I did to the two leads in the first book, but I still enjoyed it. The series continues with no real spoilers from the first book, so you could probably read this out of order as it stands well on its own that way. There are mild references to the first book and the other sports series by these authors, but no spoilers and nothing that leaves the reader confused or feeling like they're missing details.

Reid is trying to reconcile his two jobs -- the rodeo and law, as well as his two lives in Texas and Washington, DC. Eden is a military vet working tirelessly to push a bill through congress to help vets with their recovery from posttraumatic concussions and other long-term effects from their military service. They are thrown together by that work and also at Broken Hearts Ranch, where Eden goes for some healing time to deal with her anxiety and guilt. These are heavy issues dealt with in the book but in a light-hearted manner. There might be some triggers for some readers with a few scenes where Eden relives traumatic times from her military service.

Content: Clean

Loved this sweet, clean rodeo romance. I have to admit I especially loved some of the scenes in DC because it is one of my favorite cities. But I also loved the flirting and banter.

The relationships in these series always move a little too fast for me, but they are still really great. I loved how open Reid and Eden were with each other. There were also a lot of great clean but still very steamy moments.
