I'm a huge fan of the Meg Lanslow series. I love that she's smart, funny without trying, and takes control without being annoying or coming off as obnoxious. Besides the main character, her family, and other members of the town have hilarious antics that will sometimes make you laugh out loud.

This book is one of my favorites in the series, I couldnt put it down. When one of the employees at her brothers game company is murdered, Meg takes it upon herself to find the murderer, while keeping her brother's name off the suspect list and keeping the eccentric townspeople and other employees at bay.

A fun, light read, I'd recommend it to anyone who enjoys small town mysteries with a reoccurring cast of characters and unique crimes.

This was enjoyable, with a good plot, a decent mystery, and a lot of silliness. But all of the characters outside of Meg felt like they were just a collection of their quirks and didn't have much substance beyond that. This is what I'd noticed with the two books from later in the series that I had read first, so I suspect that's just the way things will be going forward. The book is definitely enjoyable enough even with the weak characterization, but it's still a little disappointing that there wasn't more flesh on the secondary characters.

Another intriguing adventure in the life of Meg and her close knit family. The fun continues as her brother's game is now an official business, but trouble is brewing with one or more employees. Meg, as usual, finds herself in the middle of it all.

Good setup as far as slow, piecemeal revealing of clues goes. But the MC is highly opinionated and judgemental of other people who aren't like her. Do sn't seem like the author thinks she's flawed, either. Being inside her head was odious.

After a blacksmithing accident, Meg Langslow is forced to take a sabbatical from her forge. Which is how she finds herself working the switchboard at her brother's up-and-coming computer game company where shenanigans are so common that it takes a while for someone to realize the guy playing dead on the automatic mail delivery cart has ceased to be playing and is actually dead now.

I am a bit sad that I'm officially all caught up with Meg & her family's antics. I adore every single character and when I'm reading a book from this series sometimes I'm a little more interested in everything else going on than I am in the actual murder plot. Someone, please tell Donna Andrews that I would, without hesitation, read a "day in the life of" series about the Langslow gang.
