This story was strange and confusing at certain parts but like Moshfegh has done in her other works she challenges the reader to step back and look at the big picture. This was a story of grief, self reflection and Vesta processing how she sees herself after the death of her husband. Will definitely be revisiting this story again.

This book was super similar to ‘Drive Your Plow Over the Bones of the Dead’ and found myself wanting to put this down and re-read that one over and over again.

Not a horrible book but fairly underwhelming for what I usually expect from Mosfegh.
