These excerpts are amazing. Which one of these books am I most excited for? I have no idea. I can't wait for them to be published.

This YA Spring/Summer edition of Buzz Books shows that we have some great YA books to look forward to this year! I've already had the pleasure to read The One Memory Of Flora Banks by Emily Barr, which is in one word BRILLIANT. Other titles that stood out for me after reading the previews were Flame In The Mist by Renee Ahdieh, Future Threat by Elizabeth Briggs, Roar by Cora Carmack, This Is Really Happening by Erin Chack, How To Be A Supervillian by Michael Fry and Rebels Like Us by Liz Reinhardt. What a great selection of promising stories from a variety of different genres!

Buzz Books 2017: Young Adult Spring/Summer by Publishers Lunch; release date January 13, 2017; Published by Publishers Lunch; ISBN 9780997774412

Always a great resource for upcoming releases, Buzz Books 2017: Young Adult Spring/Summer highlights a number of books for the middle school to teen and young adult set being released between March and July of this year.

Not that I needed to add any more titles to my already unmanageable to-read list, but if you are looking for something new to read, here's a list of some notable standouts:

Flame in the Mist by Renee Ahdieh; release date May 2, 2017; published by G.P. Putnam's Sons; ISBN 9780399171635

The One Memory of Flora Banks by Emily Barr; release date May 16, 2017; published by Philomel Books; ISBN 9780399547010

Dividing Eden by Joelle Charbonneau; release date June 6, 2017; published by HarperTeen; ISBN 9780062453846

The Legend of Skyco: Spirit Quest by Jennifer Frick-Rupert; release date April 4, 2017; published by Amberjack Publishing; ISBN 9781944995119

How to be a Supervillain by Michael Fry; release date May 2, 2017; published by Jimmy Patterson Books; ISBN 9780316318693

Thank you to NetGalley and Publishers Lunch for providing a digital copy in return for an honest and unbiased review.

This is an odd one to review. Normally I dip into these and find so many books I can't wait to read. Here I got a lot of books I've already reviewed (which are great reads) and a lot that might appeal to some of our students but weren't necessarily my cup of tea.

Nice mix in here of stories - some in subgenres that I don't really read - but there are a couple here that I definitely want to read more of - so I've requested a few and will probably buy a couple too.

Buzz Books is a great opportunity to get sneak peaks into some of the upcoming releases. I think it's a very balanced selection of different genres. And it's a great overview to see what's going to be published!

Through reading this book, I've found some books that I'm definitely going to read, even if I don't get approved by the publisher on netgalley.

I especially liked The One Memory of Flora Banks, Dream Me, Roar and The End of Our Story. I might also read Definitions of Indefinable Things, Gem & Dixie, Geekerella, Aftercare Instructions and Dividing Eden. Many of the excerpts made me want to continue reading immediately.

Recommended to anyone who's looking for new books to read.

I'm not gonna lie, I did only read 3 of the extracts in this book all the way through which is why I only gave it 3 stars BUT the 3 book extracts I did read were amazing! The first one I read was the one memory of flora banks and whilst this one was only short it really had me gripped. The extract was also left on a annoying but amazing cliff hanger making me want to read the whole book.

The next extract I read, which was my favourite, was geekerella by Ashley posten and I absolutely loved this extract. It was really long and the story line was amazing! I will definitely be buying the whole book and reading it all to see how it continues.

Finally the last extract which I read was Eliza and her monsters. This book surprised me because I really didn't have any idea what it was about but as I got into it, this was also a really long extract, I really began to enjoy it. It kind of gave Eleanor and park vibes but to be honest it is completely unlike anything i have ever read. It was amazing. Again this will be another book which I will definitely be buying the whole of and reading to see where the story goes.

Finally I would like to say a massive thankyou to netgalley and publishers lunch for supplying me with this book on my kindle.
