This was a really amazing debut fantasy. I discovered this author on tiktok, while she was promoting her book, and decided to check it out. I am glad that I did! The world-building and character development were spot on and done well.

It gets one star for having a halfway decent/interesting storyline, but the author has a tenuous grasp on grammar and sentence structure. And I'm certain the author didn't have anyone proofread before publishing, let alone a real editor/publisher. The grammar and sentence structure is so bad it sounds like AI. Many homophones used rather than the actual intended word. The book is embarrassing for the author, but the storyline was okay.

It flet like a bad SJM dupe but it was still a fun read

Please check triggers before reading this book ❤️

If I could it would be more than 5 ⭐️ I absolutely ate this book up. I have been up all night reading this because I loved it so much! I couldn’t put it down! It was beautifully written. It’s fantasy, slow burn, enemies to lovers (kinda) etc. everything I love in a fantasy book. There was great plot, great character build up and relationships and minimal amount of world building. But it was amazing. This book made me laugh, cry and gasp. Some things were obvious but some things I was like what!?? But overall such an amazing book. This book gave me avatar ( the anime)/Acotar vibes. This book does contain some spicy scenes.

it had cliffhanger ending and i didn’t expect it. i thought i could read this as standalone. the sequel is upcoming, but i don’t know when is the release yet.

Honestly, I dnf'd this book at 15%. Booktok said that if I read ACOTAR, this would be a book for me. I cannot even compare this book to ACOTAR. The plot is kinda messy from the beginning and it doesn't make sense to me.
FMC is 22 years old, but is childish and irritating. She chooses to save the fae without even considering it, and the next day she already took off to "forgotten" fae lands. I had to move back a few pages to see if I read that correctly but before that she says that they don't know that these lands exist, and after that she looks at the map and says that there are fae lands in the south, like I'm confused. The story moves too fast, and there isn't any depth to the plot. I feel like I read a book that wrote someone on Wattpad. I had high hopes, but it really doesn't do much for me.

I enjoyed it, although the sexual scenes are excessive meanwhile the ending is rushed. Overall, its alright.

Felt too young, too much info dump, and I wasn't emotionally connected to the characters. Just wasn't my vibe. The MC was succeeding too easy maybe, with her magic? That might have been part of it.
