instantmiso, queen of soft romance strikes again. With the added bonus of mermaids, a decades long mystery and a hard working/diligent MC who deserves the world, this is the only live triangle that counts.

Había comenzado con este webtoon hace tieeeempo, año 2018 quizá. El punto es que cuando lo estaba leyendo, la serie aún seguía y cuando llegué al día, se me hizo eterna la espera, así que, decidí acumular capítulos.... cuento corto, nunca pasó, se me olvidó y ayer lo encontré finalizado y dije, why not. Plus, la otra serie que estoy leyendo, siento que aún debo procesar cosas y quería leer algo entre medio, antes de seguir con el tercer libro de esta saga de 4.

La historia me encantó desde un principio. Cada personaje fue introducido de cierta forma que todo fuera encajando a medida que esta iba avanzando. El mundo místico de las sirenas me ha llamado la atención desde unos libros atrás, así que, fue agradable ver como este mundo se iba formando.

La relación de Ian con Shon me encanta. Es el bromance perfecto ajaja. Eso sí, cuesta mucho elegir con quién quieres ver a Ly al final de la historia. Me atrevo a decir que hasta ahora, no tengo mi ship claro. En algunos capítulos iba por Ian, en otros por Shon... pero al final, quedaba igual.

No quiero asumir el final, después de todo, queda una temporada completa para ver quién es en verdad la protagonista y pues, para resolver el 'problema actual'.

I did enjoy this to some extent.

Yes, it's full of clichés. But, fuck it. The art is beautiful, the story is engaging, and the characters are likeable.

DESPITE OF IT ALL, IT IS PRETTY ANNOYING TOO.

Their main goal throughout the story is to find a person who's brokenhearted and transfer the curse to that person. What did they do, you ask? Of course, they transferred it to the person that you least expected, to bring the most ANGST for the next season.

I mean, they had MANY chances to find the right person. But they focused more on their internal conflict rather than what is important. I get it, they're teenagers. But if I were in their shoes I would find a solution first on preventing how can I not fully turn into a mermaid and lose my humanity before thinking if I really like my childhood bestfriend or if they don't see me the way I see them. Come on!
