I generally enjoy books that jump from one perspective to another, and this is no exception. I liked slowly realizing how each of the characters connected with the others. I will admit, however, that some of the narratives ran together, and some narratives were a lot more fleshed out than others.

The one thing I didn't like flat out was the way trans topics were handled in the book. I thought it was great to read about Morgan's understanding of themselves and their loving long-term relationship. However, the other characters in the book repeated anti-trans talking points almost completely unchallenged. Given the growing anti-trans sentiment in Britain in particular, plus the fact that so few cis people claim to know anyone who is trans or be informed on trans issues, I felt that this was not a responsible way to frame these conversations.

This was brilliant from start to finish and I didn't want it to end - wish it was twice the length! It wasn't the kind of book where I expected a twist, but I ADORED the epilogue and just didn't see it coming. Loved it, and would highly recommend!!

This one has been on my list for so long, and I'm really glad I waited until I got into audiobooks to start it - the audio was wonderful and Anna-Maria Nabirye was a perfect narrator! This novel follows the lives of 12 people, but I felt like I got to know each of them just as well in their chapters as I would have reading a book about one person. This novel is a beautiful exploration of gender constructs, feminism, and sexuality that confronts conflicting beliefs between characters that correspond to sentiments we hear every day. I truly loved listening to this one! Check out the content warnings below before you pick it up - the content included in the warnings is present throughout most of the book.

This is essentially a collection of short stories, weaving a small tapestry of the diversity and intersectionality of women in Britain. I loved how it all tied together at the end, each person having some affect on each other. A great reminder that each of us make a difference to others lives, no matter what we do.
