Ages: she’s 26 and he’s 31. Single POV and I was dying for his thoughts. Those few chapters: I don’t listen to men’s podcast for a reason so why are you making me read one?! Other than dealing with those though, this was so good. Not truly necessary to read sweatpants season first but it does give the story just a bit more since we’ll have already been introduced to Luca and the podcast. At first it did seem like it ended abruptly since it looked like I had 15% left but once I realized that was the ending and went back to the last lines I kind of liked it. I’d probably be happier with more but I’m okay with it. Though I hope we get to see cameos of them in some book in the future (or if there’s already one out they appear in and I haven’t read it yet).

This one was just OK to me. The "Date Night" chapters were unnecessarily long and I found myself checking to see how much more was left; I strongly considered skipping them entirely. I think the snippets in "Sweatpants Season" worked much better. The ending was a bit abrupt and the epilogue... Although I kind of understand why Ms. Allen chose to end it the way she did, I feel it would have been better to use Akila's profile to keep the focus on Serena.

This book kept me engaged from begging to end. But the end definitely left me wanting more. I loved the overall message. i feel more men need to hear it. But some of the jumping to conclusions by the main character felt forced for drama and not rational thinking even though that’s how it was portrayed. Overall loved the story would still recommend.

Good book but..

Ok I love Danielle Allen’s work so I was kind of disappointed with the ending of this one. I feel like there were too many open questions left behind. What happened specifically to city boy and country boy? What project was Luca working on? I wanted more from this story but was left kind of disappointed. This will be the first of 5 books I’ve read so far that will be a one time read. It’s almost like this story wasn’t necessary to even be written except to give a follow up on Date Night and what happened to them.

Nobody's Business

Well, the Lost Boys are at it again and the target...up and coming fashion designer Serena Brooks. Serena is what they are calling turning a "ho into a housewife" after she's seen with the famous photographer Luca Romano. Serena for one is not running around running up a body count, as a matter of fact she wants to forget Marcus her last hookup because he has a girlfriend she didn't know about! Luca and Serena have a professional relationship, but they have a connection that can't be denied. They understand and respect each other's work ethic and the chemistry is almost explosive. The Lost Boys are not making things easy for the situationship and Serena decides she will not be bullied. I loved this book as it continues from Sweatpants Season and addresses the double standard between what's acceptable for men isn't acceptable for women...nah bruhs, we not having it. If you haven't read Sweatpants or Cuffing Season...do yourself a favor.

Loved the witty banter between the leads. It is always fun to read about effective communication. I'm not sure to feel about the misogyny consequences. The only good guys were the men who were romanticly involved with women close to the FMC. The person who still suffered from the mess was the FMC.

I enjoyed this story as well. Some of the Characters in this story appeared in Sweatpant's Season, and some of the characters from that series appeared in this story. I love the way the author develops the characters. Either you despise them (Like with the Lost Boys) or you love them (Like with the main couple). A very good and well written story. I can't wait to hear more from the author and maybe the characters in the future
