Holiday Buzz by Cleo Coyle is the twelfth book in the Coffeehouse mystery series. It's Christmas again and Clare and the Village Blend are participating in the Great New York Cookie Swap, an annual tradition where pastry chefs make themed delights for charity.

At the one held near the carousel in Central Park, Clare's part time employee, "M", is bludgeoned to death. A new detective with ties to the mayor declares her death is part of the "The Christmas Stalkings" attacks, but Clare believes otherwise.

Really liked this book except that I have skipped a couple in between and I shouldn't have, but eager to pick back up now!

Even though I'm a fan of the series, I actually found this particular novel to be a stronger entry than some of the other ones I've read. Good one.

I am almost caught up with the series. This is the first book in a while that I have loved the character and that I have loved the plot. I thought Claire was so much more engaging and self assured. She was more confident in herself, and she didn’t seem to be so needy.

I liked the mystery. It wasn’t as complex as some of the other murders, which I was ok with. It was fun being to guess the murderer.

I give this book a B.

Fun cozy mystery. I always enjoy this series and the characters. In "Holiday Buzz," Clare takes matters into her own hands when a part time employee is murdered. She dislikes the methods used by the lead detective, who believes only in DNA results. As usual, Clare ends up in a few tight situations, but manages to get out of them and solve the case.

There are also recipes at the end of the book, I've made some from previous books and they always turn out well.

I truly enjoyed this one. Holiday Buzz is a great one in the series. I am reading them all in anticipation for the newest book coming this year.
