Story ends and some suspicions I had come to pass and absolute power doesn't always corrupt absolutely.

my name is david charleston.
and i kill epics.

are we kidding. are we kidding. five stars series, without question. yes i did give every individual book four stars, but holy crap people please read this. it's a gloriously built trilogy with the plot and the characters getting bigger and better in every book. the commentary on what a world like this would be like, a world which ultimately begs the question, are people inherently good or inherently evil, ties in so beautifully to our real life world. and the powers are genuinely some of the most unique and fascinating concepts i've ever seen. i love superhero content and media, and this has definitely established itself as some of the best out there.

a friend did warn me that if i started reading brandon sanderson i wouldn't be able to stop, and honestly? i'm counting down days until i can pick up mistborn. very excited to dive into more adventures with you, mr. brando sando

Some really good twists and turns in this one. Fun to see it all wrap up.

Overall, you can tell that this trilogy is some of Sanderson's earlier works- they're a little less refined, I think. The integration of his philosophies are a little clunkier.

It was a good third book! I loved the continuation of the characters and was sad about the various losses. I felt like the ending was anticlimactic but not at the same time. But overall a very enjoyable book and series!
