Wow, what a story. The beginning hooked me. Billy was another King character that became 3 dimensional and larger than life. Alice was tougher for me, for some reason I have a hard time connecting with the female characters in his books. The middle of the book had me irritated, to be honest. Great ending, though. This one will stick with me.

Wow! One of my favorite Stephen King novels to date -- ironic that there's not a lick of super natural horror involved (plenty of real world horror though). I was not expecting this from King but I hope he writes more like this. Really, really good and I simply cannot wait (educated assumption, really) for a TV/Movie adaptation of this one.
No one in this book is a good person (Alice may be the closest thing to one) and that's what makes it so intriguing. A lot of bad people doing bad things for subjectively good reasons. I thought I knew what was going to happen most of the book but was surprised throughout. Great read.

Nach einer holprigen Einleitung gelingt Stephen King ein überraschend guter Haupt- und Schlussteil. Sehr lesenswert!
Absolutely enjoyable. Sad when it ended.
