It honestly felt more like an action movie, and it went by pretty fast. I didn’t enjoy the past sections about when he was in the Marines—I expected them to connect with the future, but they really didn’t. I also didn’t like how the villain just sort of appeared out of nowhere, though in this case it was at least a bit more interesting and not just thrown in to be done with.
overall, I think I liked it—especially how he experienced what it felt like to truly live, even if it was fake. How he met Alice . How Alice felt happy when writing cause she could have the happily ever after whcih doesnt always happen in real life .
Another thing I really enjoyed was his character. He’s a grey character.In this book, you see that he’s not a good man, but he’s not an evil one either.
Thoughh there were a few weird parts like the picture in rhe summer house. Or if there sort of romance.
2.5- I read the whole book because I love King's voice. The constant Trump bashing was unnecessary and had nothing to do with the story. I also felt annoyed that King did not include a letter at the end to The Constant Reader. I have been reading King for 35 years (he's a fav) and always read the letter first. It's a part of the story. Disappointing. This story drug on a little and, while I really liked Billy Summers, I felt the plot lacked a little in strength.
