WHAT A WAY TO ROUND OF MY BOOK GOAL FOR THE YEAR. 52/52

And what a shock it’s left me with.  Reading the last few chapters of this I felt chocked.  Physically I couldn’t breathe and the shock this left me with oh my god.   It was gay in more ways than one, out the closet in the closet, found family, queer devastation and heart break.

Decades of lies broken by truths.  My heart broken by all of that.  Evelyn never really got her happily ever after and my heart yearns for her but her story is truly more beautiful, devastating and dramatic than any of the movies she filmed within.

where do I start? The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo had both hands clasped around my neck, forcing me into the depths.  I hung on each and every written word, felt each emotions Evelyn felt and cried when she did.   No words can begin to illustrate the wonders of this book. I wholeheartedly recommend every bookworm to give this a chance. Wow.

Legendary Hollywood Star, Evelyn Hugo, is ready to let everyone know her true story. Her life was a lot more complicated than first meets the eye. When I tell you this book broke me, it really fucking broke me. I couldn't put the book down, it was so well written that I just wanted to keep reading.
Evelyn and Celia's relationship was so well written and the marriage scene towards the end made my heart beat out my chest it was just so amazing
Evelyn and Harry's relationship was so well written and I just loved it so much. There was absolutely nothing I did not like about this book, the contrasting emotions, the countless times I burst into tears reading this book. I would do it all again to read this for the first time again. No one is perfect and this book explains that so well and in a way you can truly understand. Taylor Jenkins Reid you have gone above and beyond my expectations (and they were already high). I recommend this book to everyone.

I could say with almost no hesitation that this is my favourite book I've ever read. It's the kind of book that makes you never want to read anything else because nothing could be as good.

It was not at all what I expected. Evelyn Hugo is a deeply complex person who feels relatable, even if you can relate to almost nothing she's talking about. Taylor Jenkins Reid has expertly created characters who truly felt real to me. I would recommend this book to everyone and anyone because I have not felt as strongly about any character in a very long time.

This book is outstanding.

Upon finishing this book for the second time, I will say I love it even more now that I did the first time around. I cried more than I have at any other book and regularly have to pause reading because it is so, so painful. And yet, I've never read anything more beautifully well-written in my whole life. Please read this book.

If I could, I would rate this book 6 stars. Hell, even 10 stars. I have honestly never loved a book more in my life. I went into this knowing absolutely nothing about the book, other than making the assumption that Evelyn Hugo had seven husbands. What I discovered,
not only did Evelyn have seven husbands, she also had a wife
. This book made me laugh, it made me cry, and it made me take a long hard look at my life. To that, the credit is owed to none other than Taylor Jenkins Reid. I can’t wait to see what other worlds you have created.
