I get why people love this, but it was not for me. It was a great story at the end of it all, I am just not the target audience for this. But that's on me for always going into books blind.

I am not one to care much about the lives of celebrities. I've never understood the fascination or obsession. At the end of the day, they are just people, too. This felt like a reality show or like flipping through tabloids for me

Meh? I didn’t love this book but didn’t hate it either, it was just okay. I don’t understand how it has 4.5 stars on here… it was interesting to see how Hollywood was throughout Evelyn’s life but the story as a whole didn’t do anything to me. I didn’t love Evelyn. I didn’t love Monique. I didn’t love Celia. I just didn’t connect with any of the characters.

This book was beautiful. Heartbreaking. Amazing. This is one of those books I would sell my soul to read again for the first time. Loved it, and I love Taylor Jenkins Reid. She’s amazing, and I haven’t read a book of hers I haven’t enjoyed. Also I love that all her books mention characters from her other books. I am so far immersed in TJR’s world hahaha

it lived up to the hype for me. blew daisy jones out of the water. I love how TJR sets up her books and am excited to read more in the future.

Didn't love it didn't hate it. Had trouble maintaining interest in a fictional movie star- I'm barely interested in real movie stars. However, I did appreciate:
1) that a majority of her marriages were shams as a way to preserve her love for Cecelia and
2) she had unique love/ relationships with Harry and Robert
