this book was a little different then I was expecting especially with a particular story line

I am conflicted with how I feel. I was content with giving three stars until the end when it came full circle and tied together (which was in the most unexpected way). I flew through the last 100 or so pages because of it.

Forever rooting for Evelyn and Harry :,)

Probs would be a good book club book which I would have liked

I have so many feelings and thoughts about this book - the last chapters and throughout made me cry so much. I cant physically and emotionally cannot stop thinking about Evelyn Herrera and how much love she had in her life and how much she didn’t at the same time - the last line really got me. the wedding with hair ties got me. everything was just perfect and i cannot wait to see the netflix movie about this book, i hope they do it justice.

Before starting this, I was very curious to see if it lived up to the hype and I'm very happy to admit that it did. This had me captivated from the very first page. The writing managed to hook me very early on. This just felt real - the early Hollywood vibes were off the charts, it just felt so nostalgic in that way. This exceeded my expectations, it had a lot more depth than anticipated - so many complex characters, never necessarily good or bad, just human. I'd also seen a lot of people talking about how heartbreaking this was. Throughout, the tragedy did feel present but it wasn't until we got to the last few chapters that I broke down and sobbed my little heart out. This was a fantastic read and I recommend it to everyone.
