This book is from where the whole freaking plot really starts to pick up!
And of course I love it, we get to see Pedro whom I shall forever protect. But well I'll protect almost all of the five even though they don't need protecting, lol.
The plot was a little slow but still pretty interesting and gah I love the Inca plotline so much. I rated 4 star because there was less of Pedro and Matt than I remembered? And boy Matt is really slow on getting a rip over his powers but I definitely am here for it.

ALSO THAT INCA DAGGER GAH, I HAVE PTSD
(This is a re-read so I'm referencing to a huge spoilery scene in the last book)

Not as good as the first to me. But I still love Horowitz, and this series is perfect for spooky season.

I will FIGHT anyone who says it's too young for them. They can eff off.

A bit scary, but interesting none the less. I liked the Inks and the fact that the second of the Five was found, but I didn't enjoy the ending so much. I am, however, aware that this is not the last book in the series.
