Very interesting book. I thought it was fiction until halfway through… that’s how crazy the story is. Only reason it’s not a 5 star is the end was a little slow.

A fascinating tale. It’s incredible to know what those men went through, and to see the ways it broke some of them is very sad. Ultimately a tragedy, but also a perhaps-overlooked lesson in history.
