Welcome to St. Hell is a fine graphic novel. I think that it's important to have more trans narratives, especially easily accessible ones. And this is a pretty quick, simple, and informative read. Hancox is bares a lot of his personal struggles, and I applaud him for the levity he's willing to inject in his reflections. But... it was not that interesting to me personally. It was a fine book. Just a little boring for me.

Good, but I wish there was a bit more on life post-transition. I appreciate this work and enjoyed that the story was mostly light despite being such a challenging time for the author. The artwork was interesting and helped to lighten the mood, but I found the text a little hard to comprehend at times (although I'm from Canada and am probably just not familiar with the slang used).

Fantastic memoir about the trans experience, really cool to see a memoir done as a comic. Quite hopeful, light tone on serious topics. Really good read

This graphic memoir was solid. It felt nice to read about someone with supportive family and friends and it never veered towards trauma porn as trans narratives are sometimes forced to do.

The storytelling was very matter of fact and the art style was pretty straightforward as well. I enjoyed it, I just don't know if it will stick with me in the way that other graphic memoirs have.
