In this graphic novel memoir, Lewis Hancox brings us back to his childhood in his hometown, St. Helens, or St. Hell. This is such an interesting, hilarious, and honest memoir in which present-day Lewis has conversations with his younger self as he is growing up. As a young child, Lois (as he was identified back then) was already having so questions about identity, gender, and discovering who he is. It's a coming-of-age story about family, friendship, queer identity, and finding spaces and people that you can belong to. I think that this is such an important read for all young people - as it is a celebration of identity, whether one is LGBTQ+ or not.
