The ending destroyed me (sobbing) but I still think it was probably the right ending, though I definitely understand why some people didn't like it. Very impactful, makes a hell of a statement on rape culture, and somewhat hopeful in the sense that maybe things can change when we stand up for ourselves as women. It's so f*cked up, the things teenage girls go through.

#MeToo... And I wish I had read this book when I was a teenager, maybe I would have understood it wasn't my fault.

I really enjoy this author's writing. This isn't my favorite from the author but I still think it's good and I enjoyed it even though the ending made me sad. It is multiple pov with characters being very distinct from each other so it was easy to follow. Check trigger/content warnings for this for sure as the main theme in this book is sexual assault/rape/rape culture.

Soooo, it was good? like the writing and character development is beautiful but thats not how it was advertised to me so i’m a little disappointed. It follows the AFTERMATH of an event which is annoying because you dont get to live the event so its falls flat in the action/mystery sense… which is what I expected. Also, the end felt rushed for shock factor
I get why it happened, my mum always says two wrongs don’t make a write and even though Alex’s action were of very good/necessary intention (imo) she still needs to be punished for committing a crime yk
