RATING: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Oh My. This book. It just might be my favorite Forever Wilde novel. Otto and Seth were everything I wanted and so much more. They've known each other since they were eight and have loved each other in different ways all their lives. But when they were in high school, Seth moved away. They kept in touch through letters and planned to get back together after graduation. But with no real reason, Seth breaks things off and breaks Otto's heart. With nothing left for him, he signs up for the navy with his brother. Ten years later he finally comes back home only to find that the new sheriff in town is none other than his first love, Seth.
It's not really true to call him his first love though, cause Seth and Otto are the kind of people who were meant to be together. Their love is made for each other. This is the kind of story that makes me fall in live with reading over and over again. The kind of story that makes you believe in soul mates and happily ever afters.
Even after ten years, their love burns bright and strong. But their are still circumstances that keep getting in their way. But their reunion is inevitable and when they finally get back together it's everything they need and more. I absolutely loved this story and would one hundred percent recommend it!

Minus one star for the use of the word "slurp" not once but TWICE.
This is book 3 in the Forever Wilde series. While I really enjoyed the first two books, this one was a little bit of a decline for me. I wasn't as invested in the story in this book as a was for the previous. Having read the whole series now, this is probably the lowest point for me personally.
This book is a lot more angsty than the previous two and does feature a lot of lack of communication/miscommunication. Not my favourite trope. On the flip side, you've got a childhood best friends/boyfriends, second chance romance with cameos from the whole Wilde family.

Communicate, you motherfuckers. Seriously. I hate drama caused by characters refusing to tell the truth for whatever pathetic reason, but every other book does this, so, fine.
Also, nope on going to prison for a stupid thirteen year old kid.

Not sure how I feel about this one. Great character depth and plot development, but I ultimately am uncomfortable with the entire plot. Like...I didn't have any anxiety while the book was playing out, but when we got to the end and saw the whole thing, I was uncomfortable with everyone's choices. It's not a fun story. It was very well written though.
Moderate: Fire/Fire injury

Too many characters. Too much plot. Too much bullshit. I liked the prince one because there were like 5 characters, this has about 25 and I cannot be fucked to remember that many names. If you're going to write a book about every sibling in a family (Bridgerton style) fine, but don't bring in every cousin, and stop bringing up the couples and plot points that have gone before.

How swoony to fall in love from the moment you meet as kids, to keep pining after each other for a decade and still have the same connection as when your paths split. To know each other like the back of your hand...
The Wilde family really seems a nice bunch and especially Doc and Grandpa made me smile, who doesn't want grandparents like that? I sure do. But I really felt sorry for Walker, how is sense of loyalty and responsibility kept him from being who he really is and accepting their bigotry... Lucky he found the same stubborn and protective partner in Otto. I did wish they weren't so noble at times. It would have caused less heartbreak, but then again they probably wouldn't have end up were they are now.

How I missed this one, I'm not sure but it's always a pleasure to return to Hobie on another Wilde adventure
