Second Chance Romance!
Otto and Seth were a second chance romance to all degrees. Not only were they split apart for ten years but they also had a lot of drama surrounding them while they were getting back together that separated them again. Not as long as ten years but the emotional bond they shared was definitely pushed to the limit during the drama. I love this family and this series!

I didn't see that coming!

Troppi impegni mi hanno impedito di completare questa lettura in tempo rapido, ma questo ha anche favorito la sedimentazione delle mie sensazioni.
Allora. Come per i precedenti, la storia sarebbe carina in sé, mi piace il trope della seconda possibilità, del grande amore mai sopito, ma devo ammettere che stavolta sono in disaccordo con l’autrice per alcune cose che non mi sono piaciute: lo spirito di sacrificio di Otto, anziché commovente, mi è sembrato esagerato.
John e sua moglie Beth sono odiosi e basta, saranno anche descritti con difetti umani per renderli verosimili, ma francamente i loro discorsi mi hanno infastidito in diversi momenti, sia nella pretesa della casa, sia nei pareri omofobi contro Seth, sia per le ‘apparenze da salvare’ e per le allusioni contro due uomini che non possono occuparsi di bambini senza generare scandalo.
Per non parlare della povera vedova Jolie, che ‘non è di famiglia’ quindi non merita la casa dei suoceri. Beth fa un discorso campato in aria, dato che John ha fatto la stessa cosa con lei, come Seth con Jolie, crescendo figli non suoi.
Mi ha infastidita che a loro tutto sia perdonato senza un minimo di pentimento o ravvedimento.
Il colpevole, poi, sarà giovane, ma non è scemo. Sapeva quello che faceva con premeditazione. Quindi la soluzione ‘a tarallucci e vino’ e tutto dimenticato mi sembra quantomeno ingiusta dopo tre incendi dolosi.
D’accordo che è una commedia, ma questo buonismo mi ha urtato, ecco.
In chiusura: l'editing italiano è ancora difettoso e il testo presenta diversi problemi oggettivi.

compared to the first two this one wasn't my favorite but it was still enjoyable.
I am curious to see how Hudson's book will turn out, hopefully it won't be full of drama or unnecessary miscommunications. all of these don't have a lot of relationship drama that i think is too much, but am hoping that continues. I really wanted to read Saint's book next so who knows i might do that instead haha only time will tell.
