I'm totally biased because Captain Carrot and His Amazing Zoo Crew was my favourite comic when I was eight years old (so much so that I bought the entire run again a few years ago). Even now, almost thirty years later, the humour holds up and the puns are just as entertaining. Probably moreso since I get all the jokes now. I was completely jazzed when I came across this revisiting of the Zoo Crew and I thought the story was pitch-perfect... Until the end. The end at first seemed forced, and then just completely silly. I was very dissatisfied with the final fate of Cap and his friends and I'm hoping against hope that DC will revisit this franchise one more time in order to wrap it up properly. I'm even willing to write it for them gratis if need be...
