Really solid read... i liked how it was not only about Space Marines, but also Imperial Guard, Titans, and pilots. Still kinda feel into the "Space Marines are awesome, they kill EVERYTHING!" trap, but made up for it by focusing on the other factions too.

Is a warhammer 40k novel. This is an excellent book which has great detail. The attention to detail makes the scene vivid, clear, detailed whether large scale or small. Aaron Dembski-Bowden is a master with words. This has a beautiful balance between character development and fast paced action. The ending was a bit of a plot twist and was unexpected. Grimuladies is a newly found Chaplin in charge of the garisson left to found the on the ground.

Spoiler warning!
Decent read, needs to be about 100 pages shorter though.
Loved the quote "The Emperor's with us boys and girls"

Also like the quote about there was more then one hero of helsreach..
Helsbrechit or how ever you spell is a fag and should die a slow painful death...or maybe that's all Black Templers.

Me ha gustado mucho, es una muy buena historia para comenzar en el universo de warhammer y deja en claro com funcionan los Templarios negros, el mecanicus, la existencia de los xenos y lo complicado del mismo universo

The second half off the book is amazing. It’s a riveting read of a desperate last stand. And all characters know there is no hope and they have to try and cope with that knowledge and find a way to keep fighting regardless.

First half was a bit slow for my taste.
