Really 2.5 but I’m being nice. Was just bored and didn’t like the characters. Also ew.

I Loved this book. I was soo nervous to start reading it because I had read so many reviews that people hated it but I decided to dive in anyway and I am sooo happy :) I love it. The entire book was so easy to read despite being over 400 pages. I'm excited to to read the rest of the series.

SpoilerSo upset that Clary and Jace are brother and sister. W.T.F. I wanted them to be in loveeee. Only thing I didn't like.

Wow... I don't know why I felt so strongly about this 5 years ago that it was a 5 star! At least on audiobook, it's just entertaining to me at best but definitely didn't blow me away...

I really wanted to like it but I just never got into it. It had all these elements that totally appeal to me but maybe I wasn't in the right mindset for it. I'll probably read the next in the series but I might try and wait until it "speaks" to me.
