Realize this is a series and unlike a lot if series their is a lot that I don't understand after book one so I will need to read the rest .

I feel like City of Bones spent a lot of time with worldbuilding, and because there was so much going on that we needed to learn the plot had to be a lower priority. I've very excited for the sequel though because I hope that the plot can be more complex and more fast-paced and that we can continue to learn more and more about all of the characters. I did really love all of the characters though, and the world and fantasy aspects were mesmerizing!!
