3.5 - I’d seen the tv show adaptation (Suchet’s Poirot), so I knew the rough plot already, but I had forgotten intricate details, so I enjoyed rediscovering those as I went.

The coastal scenery was a fun setting, and I thought the murderer/plan was actually really clever.

One of my only complaints was that I found the ending bloody stupid!! Justice for Rosamund.

The mystery resolution? SO GOOD. Loved it, and it felt different than a lot of Christie’s other works. The last two pages are worth -0.5 points though. Has nothing to do with the mystery, just my gripe about women needing to be married off and giving up their careers to get a “happy ending.” Anyway, overall still a great book.
