Yet another mystery from the amazing Agatha Christie that I simply could not put down. My head was spinning with all the clues and possibilities, honestly you'd think with the amount of books I've read by her that I would have caught on but no. That's the magic of her books as soon as you find a formula she goes and absolutely smashes it out of the park. I really enjoyed some of the characters in this one, especially the Americans, I love how she spends so much time setting up the context for the crime so you get a read of all their personalities.
Not one of my favourites of Christie but still a very good book, you would never expect the how-they-did-it part, would defo recommend. :)

Un autre roman policier intelligent et intrigant d'Agatha Christie. Idéal pour une lecture estivale. Un excellent roman policier pour les vacances, avec un rebondissement inattendu. Ce n’est pas mon roman et histoire favori…
Concisely well-written and enjoyable, Evil Under the Sun remains Agatha Christie's 1940s precedent for the modern "beach read" with its relatively light tone and broadly drawn characters spending their summer vacation on the English coast. I'm spoiled with my preference for the admittedly campy 1982 film adaptation, but this remains a solid Christie mystery with a journey as fun as its solution is intriguing.

I like the adaptation better, although I prefer the love story in the book better, even if the happily ever after included an ultimatum that she had to give up her highly successful dress business in order to marry him. Hercule Poirot was at his finest, and I loved that it was mentioned that he shared the details of this case in the future with Hastings.
I've read a lot of Agatha Christie books and honestly, I don't think she liked women much unless they behaved as she believed they should. She also plays around with eugenics adjacent ideas on what makes a good or bad person.
Anyways, this wasn't her best or worst of the series but a mididling one.
