Quick and fun read. I’m sucked into the Rebel Blue Ranch people now so I will continue the series.

Just because you got dusted doesn’t mean you’re done”

Not only does this book have the cutest cover I’ve seen but the story was beautiful. When we meet Emmy, she is fleeing back home after a bit of a traumatic experience. She hasn’t been able to confide in anyone the truth of what happened but she knew where she needed to be in order to start to heal.

Enter in Luke Brooks, her brother’s best friend, and when these two start to spend time together things begin to change. I don’t think I could rave more about Luke about. The way that he is so in tune with Emmy and helps her begin to get through her trauma when she confides in him was so sweet to see.

I loved the ADHD representation that was in this book and how it was explained. You could see the ways that Emmy struggled with it but as well as what she needed to do in order to cope with it and continue to lead a normal life. Her friendship with Teddy is so cute and I can’t wait to see more of them especially since I am shipping Teddy with a certain broody brother.

I’m loving all these stories who have such a strong found family foundation. You see that with Luke and Emmy’s family. You feel for them during the rough times and you cheer for them when they are successful. I can’t wait to return to Rebel Blue Ranch.

This was a great read. The story went straight to the point and the characters had some depth.

The FMC has ADHD, and while I don’t know what it feels like, I would’ve wanted to dive deeper into how that affected her daily life other than the fact that she didn’t like eating red meat or wearing some fabrics.

Overall this is a great, light book and I can’t wait to read the rest of the series.
