So this is one of those romance books where I'm very conflicted. The plot and storyline were completely predictable and nothing special and even at times we're annoying. However the spice scenes. . . Chef's kiss! If we are rating simply on the plot and the book itself I probably give it a two and might not even continue the series. If I'm reading on the spice scenes it might even be a 5. I will probably read the next one and if it's about the same I probably won't continue the series, however if the plot improves I'll keep going!

"Done and Dusted" was a quick and engaging read (I finished it in less than 24 hours). The premise hooked me right away: a gorgeous cover, the American country setting, and several music references that made the story even more enjoyable to follow.
The romance itself doesn’t have major twists or deep explorations of complex themes (the book is quite short), but it delivers exactly what it promises: to entertain and keep the reader hooked. The steamy content is there, but it doesn’t take over the narrative: I’d say around 15 to 20% of the book contains explicit scenes.
If you’re looking for a fast-paced, fun, and sensual story without heavy reflections, this book is a great pick. I enjoyed the experience and already want to read more from this author.

The narrators were great. It's dual pov. It's just always a little awkward to me when they say the love interests lines in the opposite povs voice. I would like if it were acted out more like a radio play but *shrug*. It's a great romance! The spicy scenes were great. The characters were believable. I don't know if it's a part of the trope but the amount of times MMC says "my best friends little sister" really started to get to me. Other than that very sweet and cute love story.
