Imaging getting a random text asking what you are wearing, and you decide to play into the joke and text back. It turns out that maybe the stranger isn’t so bad after all and is kinda nice to talk to. Olivia is the lowest point in her life. She may or may not have been apart of burning down her apartment building, her ex dumped her for her ex-work best friend, and she lost her job. Liv moves in with her older brother, Jack, and his best friend, Collin, until she can get back on her feet. Her and Collin have always been at each other’s throats since they were kids.

Living in a tight space might cause some challenges. Especially when Collin is the random number Olivia has been texting. In Collin’s eyes? His perspective of Olivia being his brother’s baby sister might change.

The story was sweet and funny. As a reader, I was cheering for Olivia to have something good happen to her. The whole texting the random number was funny but Collin should have told her a lot sooner. That would have made the plot better. It could have been a cuter love story.

I also strongly disliked her perception of Collin (she thought he was a rich country club guy). Their argument was also never resolved. It’s like they sudden got over it and made up too quickly. Bit of a red flag. Their constant bickering also got on my nerves SO much.

Bad luck just seems to follow Olivia around. That is until one day she gets a "What are you wearing?" text from a random stranger.

This is a fluffy and cute rom-com. The banter between the two of them via text messages was really funny and their chemistry was pretty strong. But I didn't feel like it translated as well outside of the text messages.

Olivia is a complete mess. After being dumped, losing her job, and setting her apartment on fire, she is stuck living with her brother and Colin, his best friend. She and Colin are complete are complete opposites. He has a very A type personality. He's very driven and successful, while she is barely holding it together.

I don't really understand why they were so mean to each other. Like unnecessarily mean. I found it to be very immature. There was no real reason except once as a kid, she heard him calling her a name.

The ending

really annoyed me. Olivia went from being incredibly angry at Colin for him keeping the secret about the fact that he was Mr. Wrong Number to being desperate to get him back the second she learns he's moving away. She couldn't actually sit down and talk to him rationally about it like an adult, but then in the blink of an eye, she just realizes she's no longer mad because he's moving away. I thought it was a bit of a cop out.

Very fun idea for a book and beautifully executed! Quick moving without feeling too rushed. The spice was kind of closed door and kind of open door. Sometimes we’d get a little ways into “it” and then it would jump forward in time. Really appreciated Collin’s view of Olivia shifting to see her as a woman who gives herself wholeheartedly to life. I thought this was so much better than just writing off Olivia’s clumsiness to her being a “quirky girl”. (I’m personally not a fan of that trope as it doesn’t give the woman any real depth). I thought Collin was sexy and kind, and Olivia was well rounded and had a great sense of humor even about her own situations. Really enjoyed and looking forward to the next one!
