I completely agree with all the reviews saying this book was boring and nothing epic happened, but that's what I loved about it so much.

The characters, the setting, and the story were completely realistic! I felt like I was reading a day in the life true story!

Although I did not enjoy this book quite as much as the Gossip Girl series I would still label it as one of Cecily von Ziegesar's best!

I don't know why I thought I would like this considering I didn't really enjoy the Gossip Girl series...

One of the characters (Shipley, I think) was excited someone cut their hand, and she remarked about how exciting college is! Let's all injure ourselves so she can be happy!

No.

The plotline with the brother would have been interesting if he hadn't been brought back within the first few chapters, therefore ruining any mystery about him.

This book is INSANE. After reading the Gossip Girl books, I didn't have a clue that von Ziegesar could write this well. It was smart, realistic, and reminded me of a modern Fitzgereld. FAB.

A totally fine, easy beach read (which us where I read this book). Almost all the characters are vague and they all make big character changes on a dime with little to no discussion as to their motivations--all in the guise that "it's college" and that's what kids do! It's set in the early 90s for very little reason except to have a Grateful Dead cover band past it's prime and prob bc that's when the author went to college--oh, and so girls could scream "Bill Clinton is hot!" this book was the equivalent of me reading a rag mag on the beach, which is easy and fun (and as easily disposable)--but that's about it.

When the book started I loved it and really related to what the guys went through but once I'd finished I was disappointed, it felt like the book had no point to it and the ending sucked.

It took me two years and a stubborn determination to finish this book. And I'm just glad it's over.

Vreeeemd boek dit. Is het satire? Is het serieus? Het is in elk geval best vermakelijk.

Unreadable. I am embarrassed on behalf of the entire Colby community. It seems bad writing from the Hill is not limited to contributions to the Echo.
