I was really interested in the concept of this book and I wanted to like it. Unfortunately I didn't enjoy it as much as I'd hoped as I found the pace very slow as there were so many characters to introduce. The last few chapters everything comes together and the story finally moved forward. I will probably read the second installment.

Gina Martin obviously has a great knowledge of magic and ritual work as well as ancient history and it was these little nuggets that brought me back to reading this
