I'm DNFing this one. It felt like I was being dropped into the middle of a story because it lacked the character introductions and backstory I felt I needed to understand what was going on. Everything moved so fast, there was no time for nuance or even normal human reactions. The characters felt like puppets acting out a forced plot line. What I saw of the characters was not likable, so I had no interest in the love scenes.

I listened to this on audiobook, and the narrator chose to make the main character sound really ditzy, which compounded the problems. Just a big all around nope for me.

This book has potential. However, it didn't flow very well. It felt things were just thrown in place and just felt monotonous. If this author had a good editor to help bring life to the characters then it would be great.
