I think these short stories were well written. Christine's writing is very flowy which makes it easy to read however I really couldn't connect with any of the characters personally therefore it wasn't completely an enjoyable experience for me. I would love to read a full novel from this author though as I definitely think she has some good stories up her sleeve.

The entire collection felt a bit distanced. A bit grim. An unease. A quick swipe at something ungilded.

I am generally not a fan of short stories. Stylistically, these were fine. Mostly I felt neutral about the collection.
