Yasss, a creepy and thrilling conclusion and makes me already miss this series so much. I thought it wrapped up nicely, but if it ever came back in any way I'd eat it up.

Did I miss them showing the actual gauntlet? This series has been great but this was a real nosedive at the final hurdle

Overall I´d say this was a solid 4 star series.
But the ending felt incredibly rushed and I am simply not a fan of the "villain-monologue".
It is just like lazy writing.

First of all, I had no idea this was the final chapter of Nailbiter before I picked this up, and I am definitely not ready to say goodbye to these characters. As far as endings go, this one was somewhat satisfying. While I'm glad this volume provided all of the answers, I wish it focused more on Warren himself (though it did get there towards the end). The reveals could have been executed (no pun intended) better than a giant info dump, but hey, they had A LOT to explain since they pretty much kept everything a mystery this entire series. The last few pages made me laugh - they may be a bit too ridiculous for some but somehow this worked for me. I'll miss you, Warren!

This murder gene thing though... I don't know how to feel about it. I like that they turned it into a point about making a choice, but I think they could have made that point without the gene shenanigans.emma89's review

This was not satisfying. It didn't have any of the things I loved from the previous volumes. Nothing was shocking. It was bloody just to be bloody and the big reveals were a giant MEH.

Such buildup for the reveal of a big secret that ultimately was not so profound. The plot wrote a check that the ending couldn't cash. I almost rather they left the mystery unsolved; boldly infuriating would have been preferable to mediocre.
