Ich hab eine steinalte Ausgabe dieser Erzählung mal irgendwann geschenkt bekommen. War tatsächlich ganz nett, auch wenn es mir immer schwerfällt, Vergnügen an Büchern zu finden, in denen mir sämtliche Figuren unsympathisch sind. Die grotesken Beschreibungen machen dennoch Laune. Hinten im Buch folgen noch ein Interpretationsansatz und eine Einordnung der Erzählung in Gogols Gesamtwerk.
