☕ A lot of information and names at the start which made it a little hard to get into for me.

☕ The writing was beautiful and Shankari Chandran is a very eloquent author!

☕ Insightful and definitely an interesting read, a perspective and cultural insight that I enjoyed learning more about!

☕ It was a little bit slow for me, I’ve been reading it slowly over a long time (this was just because it’s not a genre I usually gravitate towards and it didn’t keep my focus for long).

☕ Overall I would definitely recommend if you are looking for a story that explores family, memory, community and race.
