Sweet story, great illustrations. The dialogue was a bit obvious and clunky. The ending was totally cheesy, but that’s ok sometimes!

This was a cute and heartwarming story about two women that fell in love when they were adolescents but couldn't be together due to the times and family judgement. Yet, they find each other again fifty years later and are able to have the relationship they always wanted.
I really enjoyed this story, especially since older sapphic stories aren’t usually depicted in media. I had a few issues with the pacing and the promo. The end felt a bit too rushed to me and I was a bit confused. The ending was set in the 2030s, and there’s a brief mention of how the necklace she was wearing was helping her wife with seeing their memories since she had Alzheimer’s. I wish that was expanded or explained more. There were scenes that could’ve gone more in-depth (the scene where her ex-husband shared his secret and their honeymoon) but it’s quickly glossed over because there’s a little text box that’s promoting a spin-off graphic novel of those scenes which I thought was odd.

This comic was cute, refreshing, and so culturally adapted that I laughed a few times at the 'hit the nail on the head' reactions. The tale of Hazel and Mari's love and growth over the years was heartwarming and tender. The comic also has very diverse body types, a big win for me. Would love to read more lgbtqi comics that focus on people of colour and diverse ethnicities.

I absolutely loved the queer representation and the characters of this book, Elle and Mari are so cute! Even though I'm not a huge fan of love at first sight and instant-love, I did enjoy their chemistry and the ending crusheddddd meeeee.

I feel like there aren't enough love stories (sapphic or otherwise!) that showcase older couples falling in love, it was so fantastic to see it in Bingo Love! The art was bright and vivid, which set a really fun/lighthearted mood for a story that deals with tough topics like homophobia. The pacing was a little meh at times; I didn't like how it felt like Mari/Hazel's love story was rushed while the
infidelity between Hazel and her husband was HELLA drawn out in comparison. I'd rather have the page space used to show more of Mari and Hazel's story!
Overall still a cute TEARJERKER of a story despite the issues with the pacing though! The reveal at the end had me emotional!!
