Was a really cute story! The way the tension was written was so vivid like girl I felt IT! Loved that they felt like real characters and liked that it felt Caribbean but naturally!

Cute little enemies to lovers romance. Bisexual rep. The smut in here was minimal but good! Def could've had more because it was written well. This was my first book by the author and I'll certainly be keeping an eye out for their other works.

keiran and cherisse were so cute

Too much overexplaining. Clunky writing.

A super sweet and steamy enemies to lovers

This one gets a 3.5

I really loved both of the characters separately, I just wasn't so sure I liked them together - which I understand is the point of the enemy's to lovers trope - but usually they grow on you as a couple as they grow onto each other, but for me I just wanted them to find better people for them, and also for Kieran to end up with Scott, even though that was definitely not going to happen.

Loved the baking, and Cherry's demeanour when it came to baking and I thought Kieran's job was cool too, also loved how they spent a day in each other's worlds to better understand each other/ as they both needed the others help. However I just didn't love Kieran's lack of communication being the inciting incident, I think I am just absolutely tired of that trope now, and would love to see some better communication from the adults in my novels. Though they did get better in the end.

A cute and sometimes steamy read, done in a fun duel protagonist format. Give it a read if you don't mind some of 'the usual' coming at you mixed with some fun twists in the trope itself.

This was really cute!!

I love how diverse this book was, the fact that it takes place in Trinidad, the hate to love vibes, literally just about everything about it!!

Kieran is literally so perfect and cute and just so soft for Cherisse. Cherisse is a relatable character but definitely had her walls up through most of the book. It's realistic for the time span this book goes through but I wish we'd gotten to see things tightened up a bit more for characters. This is definitely a HFN type ending and there's a lot of things going on in both of their lives that doesn't really get addressed.

I'm so excited to read more from this author and in this series. Also this cover is just so damn beautiful I cannot get over it
