A well laid out book focusing on the global view for tackling major issues. It brought together a wide range of coalescing factors that shape and have shaped where we are today (as of 2007). Its worth noting the situations and circumstances aged pretty well.

Good stats and some examples, however the author often said "should" as in 'the United states should do xyz' with little roadmap as to how to accomplis this.

It ends with a hopeful tone but acknowledes the seemingly jnsurmountable nature of the tasks ahead for solving .ajor gliabl issues.
