thousands of cosmic Golden Stars!

I love this series! I can't explain how much. constant battles, Good versus Evil; each side thinks they are right & I couldn't say which one is right either until the last book, complicated, maybe the villain is right? who knows? full of adventures, fun & emotions. Pop cultural references! Lovely characters driving the story. multiple battles against a smart awesome villain. Imagination booster!
a somehow middle grade but regardless of the age, not too much romance (It's more adventures & rush everywhere & I actually see it as a strong point.)

Unique Idea
Perfect Execution
Exciting Unexpected Plot
Lovable Characters
Best Hero Villain Dynamics!

this series is underrated & I'm sad because of it, my generation, 90's, knew it better at least, but not many people now. It deserves as much love as Harry Potter & Percy Jackson, because it's amazing, with lots of different worlds, complicated & exciting unexpected plot, Time Travels, fun & everything fantasy.
(yeah, I know I'm a little overwhelmed, because it is one of my Nostalgic reads.)
I read it many times (at least for first books, & I can reread them much more, it never gets old for me)
& I loved how almost each book had a kind of ReCap journal of what happened in the last book, summarizing the important events.

World building: ★★★★★/5
10 different worlds (plus 1), 10 different cultures, 10 different environments, 10 different society, 10 different law system & every one of them are brilliant! from Primitive society to technological (different technologies), to tribes, to Dystopia.
all of these worlds/planets are in the same universe, one in the future, one in the past, one in present, the Travelers are the only ones who can travel through Time & Space to arrive there at the time they were most needed.

Characters: ★★★★★/5
protagonist was at first a bit weenie, but hey.. he was only 14... also those whining plus his sassy comebacks made me laugh. I love characters that made me LOL. plus he will change a lot. he will grow up.
& also he is very relatable, the comparisons he made (not the funny ones) about some situations is exactly what I thought & his fun never gets old.
my first favourite character was actually uncle Press. literally the one introduced the world to us, the Mentor.
the villain here is awesome! my favourite villain of all the times! he is Smart, sassy, behind the scene & always one step ahead! & why he is doing this, his intentions, his goals, make perfectly sense.
we have some badass girls in the whole series. Courtney, Osa, Loor, Neva, Keesha. some of them are in my favourite female characters.
Marc is adorable too!
all the characters are well-created & well-written!

Characters development: ★★★★★/5
you can see through the pages, in every books, how characters change & how this changes made story even better. you can feel it. believable, realistic.
-
Writing style: ★★★★★/5
MacHale' written style was absolutely one of the perfect ones I've ever read. all the jokes, all the fun, all the adrenaline peaks are awesome. all the feelings perfectly fit (in my opinion, good stories must have these 3 parts: thrills, fun, feels)
plus there's some inspirational quotes that made me think & some that helped me to be stronger. some 'you should continue/ you can do it' quotes. <3
the fun never gets old, I still laugh as hard as the first time (which is years ago, since 2007) at Bobby's unique narration.
-
Love life: ★★★★★/5
this is the style I love about love lives in fantasy, not too much, not too detailed. We know their emotions, we know they have feelings for each other. we ship them. but it is not the center of the story, it's slowly building in the story. like Harry Potter, like Percy Jackson.
-
Plot: ★★★★★/5
Action-Packed & Shocking!
you just read it with open mouth! every second, every pages has something to make you surprise or awestruck! everything wrapping up constantly or behind the curtain, you just don't see that coming. many times! & when it comes, your mouth just fell open! 'that's it!' when it coming close & you don't see its approaching. that's the story, that's the adventure! that's the adrenaline peak!
book by book, it's getting more serious, more critical, Darker. sometimes they fail, they make mistakes. (but don't worry! there's always FUN when Bobby's around!)
& omg! the last book! the last battle! EPIC! I love how it ended.

General idea: ★★★★★/5
It sounded a lot like the parallel universes theory which is one of my favourite science subjects! also including Time Travels.
