I absolutely loved this book!! I cried, laughed, and cried again; I could not put it down! One of my all time favorites for sure.

I felt like this was a very average book and the ending was rushed and inorganic. Too much emphasis on “fairy tale” romances instead of letting the plot develop naturally.

Whatever happened to dialogue? What a boring, redundant book. We all know the Cinderella story, so the task for the author is to tell the story in a way that engages. This book didn’t do that. It retold the Cinderella story in what may be the most boring version yet.

A bit confusing
The story outside was fantastic. It was an amazing twist on the Cinderella fairytale we all know and love... but the perspective jumped around so much it was hard to keep up. It was like it was told by everyone all at once, verses giving everyone their own turn to perceive. If there had been more definition in who was telling the story, I would have enjoyed it a whole lot more.

Just when you think the Cinderella story has been told in every possible way, another variation appears. This version is without singing mice, fairy godmothers, and being rescued by true love. Instead the heroine is strong, smart, and receives support from friends.
