Running away with a perfect stranger…. I wasn’t too sure that I would be able to jump on board with it. It did intrigue me enough to give it ago though. After just a few chapters I jumped completely on board with this story and still haven’t jumped off. This was my first Randileigh Kennedy book and it will not be my last!

Kennedy’s writing was so smooth, realistic, and overall very easy to follow. I love it when I feel as if I am with the characters in this book and I can feel what they are feeling. Like I mentioned above, I was worried that I would not be able to enjoy the crazy idea of a running away with a stranger but the climax of this book made me so glad I pushed through my original hesitation.

I really enjoyed the characters in this book. Following Cassidy and Reid throughout their adventure was so much fun. I must say though, there was a twist that I was not prepared for. However, this twist is very spoilery and really gives a lot of meaning and detail to the overall plot of the book.

As for the supporting characters, they were hilarious, frustrating, and annoying. Just like supporting characters should be. I loved Uncle Buck! I wish I had and Uncle Buck. He was such a hoot in every scene he was present in. I wanted more of him and if he had a spin-off story, you could definitely count me in!

Anyone who wants an adventurous, cute, heartfelt romance story; this is for you!

Few of My Favorite Quotes

“As I looked closer at it, it appeared to be from Reid’s pancake order. For some reason there was a blank check attached to the bill. The name line was made out to me, but the amount was blank.

In the memo line, it simply read, “freedom.””

“Oh, you just wait. I’m going to change your life, Cassidy Jones.”

“Good morning, beautiful,” he said softly. “You confuse me; did you know that?”

“I will forever be grateful for the day you got into my car,” he said breathlessly between kisses.”

"I honestly have no idea what a guy has to do to deserve a girl like you." He gently kissed my lips, lingering as he continued to speak. "But I'm going to keep trying until something works."

“Those words – which spent less than ten seconds on my lips – didn’t actually seem so crazy after all.”
