This was an entertaining start of what's surely a fun book. The plot kept me interested and the premise was actually amazing because vampires are always fun. Sadly the character voice was so similar, I could hardly tell the characters apart. I think a good editor would help bring out the potential in this book.

It's a silly little book, I will read the next one as well because I can enjoy it.
It's noticeable though, that there wasn't much of editing - but it's genuinely not that bad and really makes the charme, at least for me.

just couldn't get into it and literally only really enjoyed the last few pages. I will check out the first full-length book because I do see potential and want to support starting authors but for this one I just can't give a higher rating than that.

Just really didn't like the character of Aiden in this, but this could chance in a full length book so lets wait and see :). For me he was just tooooo adament that he is different than everyone and doesnt fit in etc...... to a degree where it wasn't natural and comfy anymore.

This prequel novella is the perfect little set up to the rest of the series. We get a nice little introduction to the main characters and their personalities, which I'm looking forward to exploring in more depth. I'm interested to see what is going to happen with the plot and how that is going to play out.

Fantastic starting point

First off these two are the most awkwardly adorable characters. Yes I know adorable isn't the way most people would describe them but they are to me.

Aiden has plans for his Halloween that start in the cemetery and should end with movies and snacks. They say curiosity killed the cat....

Calder is a vampire who is stuck in an endless cycle of mediocrity. However, this Halloween things are changing. A Halloween party to start but the panicked decisions that happen later will change things up.

I'm super excited to see what is going to happen next. This was a perfect start to something that has so much potential.
