This is a book i want to keep coming back to, and ultimately I want to find another history of Nicaragua with less focus on it's connection with the US. Stephen Kinzer is a great journalist and writer, but i always come away from reading this book wishing it was less a story of what it is like to be a journalist in Nicaragua, and more a story of what it is like to be a Nicaraguan in Nicaragua. Again, not a fault of the book, more a fault of my inability to make it very far in the many stories of Nicaragua told in Spanish.
