Very well-written but not overly interesting for me. The passive aggressive relationship between Stevens and Miss Kenton was frustrating to read - it made it difficult to imagine their dynamic evolving to romance.

Some of the reviews I've read give me a greater appreciation of what this book really speaks to (a man's remorse over how he's lived his life, an ode to Britain, etc.) but I would have rather gained that insight for myself through the reading.
