It was really good. I liked the characters and there were times where I just couldn't stop reading even though the scenes weren't full of suspense.

I loved Einstien and I found The Outsider really interesting. Even though it was suspenseful, I was really unconcerned close to the ending. After Einstien gets hurt I was really worried about The Outsider and not Travis. I'm not sure why I felt that way but I did.

I loved the afterwords that Dean Koontz had written, I thought it was really funny and his personality shone through his writing.

For me, the most suspenseful part of the book was when Nora was dealing with the assault and harassment of Art Streck. I was worried the entire time and I was constantly reading so I could learn more about her and her wellbeing.

Overall, a great read, and I loved all the different stories that eventually lead to each other. It was all really interesting. Plus, Garrison Dilworth was my hero throughout the book.

5 stars if the ending didn't get all fairytale, barf.

Ok, Dean Koontz. I know. I know. I won't even bother to record all the DRK books I've wasted time reading. But, I truly loved this book and have probably read it three times. I don't know what it is or why, I just found it to be totally absorbing and very well written a non-literary book.

I know I’m pretty much alone in thinking this is a bad book, but there were several points where the terrible overblown writing, cheesiness, stereotyped characters, ludicrous storyline and unbelievable dialogue made me laugh out loud.
Maybe it’s good at what it does, in which case, what it does is not for me.
In the end I had to put the audiobook playback speed at x1.5 just to get through it faster. Even then it was 12 hours of my life that I’ll never get back.

I seriously loved that book. I loved Travis and Nora and all the other characters but I especially loved Einstein. There wasn’t a chapter I didn’t enjoy in this book. It made me really happy.

I know, I know - Dean Koontz. But this one was from before he jumped the shark (although he might have jumped back with the more recent Chris Snow and Frankenstein books). ANYWAY - I loved this book, especially the dog, and it was impossible to put down. GREAT airplane/beach/sitting in a boring seminar reading.
