This book was pretty amazing! Although the title says it all I was really hoping that they didn’t both die at the end. I found the ending gut wrenching and the writing was fast paced and easy to read

Okay - now listen here.
i loathe the way it sounds like spoken poetry, but all and all it want a bad book.
i did get slightly emotional, but i will not touch this book again.

i’ve read mixed reviews about this book; some people say it disappointed them and others absolutely adored it. i’m part of the latter group.
this book left me completely empty in the best possible way. it shattered me and taught me so many important lessons.
the ending did kind of make me mad, but it also made me realize that death doesn’t wait for anyone. it doesn’t wait for you to say goodbye. it doesn’t wait for you to be with your loved ones. when your time has come, death will be there. it’s unfair but it’s real.

quick read, wasn’t a masterpiece but was still good tho i see why people said it had a huge potential/prospect but the author killed it

once you’re in the story you are really in but i did have trouble initially getting in and then keeping up with timelines or people. the line about rather living wanting to die instead of dying wishing you could have lived longer stuck with me.

So I was avoiding reading this book before because It's by [a: Adam Silvera|7577278|Adam Silvera|https://images.gr-assets.com/authors/1414725025p2/7577278.jpg] and I know what that means: my heart is going to break.

And I was definitely right, so this is my fault.

It's safe to say the ending totally destroyed me. I mean you would've thought the title would've prepared me.

This is a sci fi book where a company called Death Cast calls people to alert them that their last day has arrived. This book surrounds Mateo and Rufus on their End day. They’re both looking to make a new friend on their last day and fine each other through The Last Friend App.

It does follow a generic idea of living to your fullest, seizing the day and all. but I loved how it was done. Both these characters were different and well crafted, they had their own distinguished voice.
It's more of a character driven then plot driven book. That's not to say nothing happens!

What I really loved was how Death Cast's influence on society was shown. There were places made specially for Deckers (people dying on today). We even got see different perspectives besides the two main characters.

Adam Silvera is gift for people who want diverse books!

This is for sure a new favorite book. I was fully engaged throughout the whole thing, I loved the characters, I loved the message, I loved the writing style. Our two many characters are very different but they work so well together, I loved the little mini stories about related characters that was brought up in between things. I think the mini stories were nice and short and REALLY easy to follow considering the structure of everything.

Overall I loved this book and I for SURE ended up crying while reading this one even though most of the book had a more lighthearted-happy-ish tone despite the sad topic of death. It wasn't a downer of a book, if anything i feel like it was more of a commentary on life and not death. It was beautiful. I HIGHLY recommend!
